
Beaches near Villa Ifigeneia

Kalathas beach, formed in front of the settlement is beautiful, with fine sand, a lot of sun, and shallow clear waters, ideal for families with children with depth less than a meter. Opposite Kalathas there is the small island, which you can go to very easily by swimming. The beach is quite organized, with umbrellas, water sports, a kiosk with all the necessary drinks and foods, and a finally a traditional tavern with delicious food. West of the main bay, behind the rocks of the beach, you can a find a more isolated beach. Kalathas beach is in Akrotiri, 1.4km away from Villa Ifigeneia and can be accessed within a minute by driving or 5 minutes by walking.
LOUTRAKI BEACH

Loutraki beach is in Akrotiri, the distance from Villa Ifigeneia is 8.1km , Loutraki is very popular for the locals and visitors as well. The beach is organized and has fine sand and clear blue waters. Upon the sunset Loutraki feels like heaven, surely worth to visit. Here you will find a quiet tavern with many sunbeds, but also a large beach bar with loud music and plenty of youth.
MARATHI BEACH

Marathi has two beautiful beaches, with fine sand and shallow waters, ideal for families with children. The beaches are separated by a small port and its pier. They are quite organized and with all the necessary amenities very close such as traditional taverns, coffee bars and more. Marathi is mainly a family place , rental sea bikes can be found as well as kanoe kayak and some other activities. Finally, Marathi is in Akrotiri, only 9.3km away from Villa Ifigeneia and can be easily accessed by car.
STAVROS BEACH

The beach at Stavros is a sandy lagoon, very well organized and windless which is divided into two. The blue-green tropical waters and the exotic beauty of the landscape will surely impress you. Characteristic of the beach area in Stavros is the large steep mountain in the shape of a camel that rises opposite the port of the village. The scenes of the movie “Zorbas the Greek” were shot on this mountain, where Anthony Quinn danced the famous sirtaki in 1964. Around the area, many local traditional tavernas and cafeterias can be found. Stavros beach is 5.5km away from Villa Ifigeneia and can be accessed by car.
SEITAN LIMANIA

Seitan beach in Chania, Crete is one of the three coves created by the sea in the area of Akrotiri. The name is of turkish origin, from the period of Ottoman rule on the island and means “cursed beach” . This characterization is because of the danger of ripples in the area. Seitan Limania is located in Akrotiri and the distance from Villa Ifigeneia is 9.2 km. The view and waters of the area amaze every visitor, and also a few baby goats are always among the visitors ready for pictures and food!
